Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled CMM Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in operating Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) and possess a strong understanding of precision measuring instruments.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and program Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) to perform inspections on machined parts
- Interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T symbols
- Utilize various measuring tools such as micrometers, bore gauges, and calipers to ensure accuracy
- Conduct inspections using CAD software for dimensional analysis
- Perform regular maintenance and calibration of CMM equipment
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure quality standards are met
Skills:
- Proficiency in operating CMM machines and related software
- Knowledge of GD&T principles for interpreting engineering drawings
- Familiarity with precision measuring instruments such as micrometers and calipers
- Experience with CNC machining processes is a plus
- Mechanical aptitude and understanding of machining techniques
- Strong mathematical skills for accurate measurements
